Started as Business & Turned into Friendship – Loyal Customer to DEL Motors

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

Master Sergeant Carl Corey and his wife Dee have been customers at DEL motors for 6 years. In that time they have bought 6 vehicles. Carl and Dee own Corey’s Corral in Junction City. DEL Motors has sponsored many events at Corey’s Corral Bar and Grill.

Master Sergeant Corey and his wife moved to Junction City in 2006 to be a part of the Big Red One. Carl is an Active Duty Army Senior NCO and has been here since. The location right outside the gate and the selection of vehicles is what first brought them in to DEL Motors back in 2006. “The quality of vehicles, professionalism and personal service has made DEL Motors the ONLY place we have bought vehicles in the last six years.” says Carl and wife Dee.

D.E. and his staff’s personal desire to take care of the customer at all cost and honest business practices. D.E. and his staff truly do care about the customer and appreciate the Army community. They have gone out of their way to take care all the people we have personally sent their way over the last 6 years.

DEL Motors and Master Sergeant Corey have continued a relationship outside of buying cars. DEL Motors sponsors Carl and Dee’s local business, Corey’s Corral Bar and Grill.

“DEL Motors has been a major financial sponsor of our Saturday Nights Live Music Series, Ricochet Concert, 2 Midget Wrestling events, Bike Nights, fund raising events that support the local community and numerous other activities. With more events coming up this year we look forward to a continued working relationship. He has also provides cars and bikes for display and special pricing for our customers who buy while they are on display at the bar. Both of us mention the other during radio ads, print ads, event flyers and tickets along with website links for these events.” says Carl.

They said their favorite event was the Midget Wrestling. “It was sold out and the entire crowd had a GREAT time!”.

When working together you pick up different attributes you want to bring back to your business and use. One thing D.E., Carl & Dee believe in is that “personal service and trust are business practices that make a difference!” D.E. and the Corey’s have became great personal friends over the years, “His business knowledge, experience and advice has been invaluable to us”.

It is refreshing to find a Military Town used car dealer who is not out to take advantage of the Soldiers! DEL Motors is a place Soldiers can go and TRUST they are getting a good deal on a great car from professional people who do what’s right for the Soldier before during and long after the sale!

Junction City Native Earns Purple Heart

Emclean Taylor Earns Purple Heart

Emclean Taylor Earns Purple Heart

Emclean Taylor is a 1986 Junction City High School graduate who may be better known in the area as a football phenomenon. Taylor was a running back in Junction City and moved on to Independence Junior College on a scholarship and then to the University of Tennessee. While at Tennessee, Taylor gained notoriety from pro scouts and in 1989 he found himself backing up Hershel Walker on the Dallas Cowboys. In 1990 he played in the World League overseas in Germany. While all of this is interesting material in itself, a football career is not what defines Taylor’s life, but his service and sacrifice to his country is what does. (more…)

Potholes hazardous to vehicle suspension

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

It’s been a rough winter for much of northeast Kansas. Cold temperatures and moisture accumulation have taken their toll on our roads, leaving behind pesky potholes. They’re not just a jarring nuisance, but also a danger for motorists and a hazard to our vehicles.

The formation of potholes is exacerbated by low temperatures, as water expands when it freezes to form ice, and puts greater stress on an already cracked pavement or road.

Potholes can damage vehicle suspension components and result in costly repairs. Here are some tips to keep in mind: (more…)
